very good location; nice room ,good breakfast- we reccomand it.
Helpful and friendly service by staff, room quality, location and good working air conditioning during a very hot several days in Rome.
Hotel Staff - We liked the most !!! They were always nice and welcoming. Also, having car in an underground parking area was great. Hotel's location was great and suits purpose of our trip. We come to do typical touristy bit and it worked out Fantastically! Thank you all for making our stay with you a true pleasure and we will look forward to come and visit you again.
The hotel staff were some of the most delightful I have come across. But I am not sure - the hotel offers value for money! Quite expensive for the size of the rooms. Overall spectacular location.
Size of the rooms just showed a limited amount of space.
The position within the city, the security of the front door positioning on the street it was situated on.
poor quality wireless internet services, and no wireless signal in rooms is unacceptable to inernational business travellers today, and in Australia, Canada, and USA, free wireless is standard.
The location of the hotel is excellent and the staff is friendly & helpful
The hotel corridors and common use areas are old. Rooms were looking better in the Web pictures increasing the expectations.
It's convenient location.
Room is very cramped for three people and it has no windows but just a balcony that faces a blank wall. Makes the room claustrophobic as there is zero Street view.
Great location, friendly staff, good price that included breakfast, and clean. Overall if we go back to Rome, we will definitely stay there again.
We were suppose to have free WiFi but their internet was down the entire time that we were there.
It is in the perfect location, it is very comfortable and is a good value for the cost. The room was smaller than US standards, but it was more than adequate for our 3 night stay. Very good experience as our first introduction to Europe.
The lobby area and the room badly needed the carpets cleaned. We have stayed at the Borgognoni before-it has deteriorated since our stay in June, 2010
Besides the fabulous location, my husband and I loved the staff. They were personable and friendly and went out of their way to help us. When we were curious about how to acquire tickets to the train to go to Florence, the nice gentleman at the desk replied, "We will take take care of that for you....no need to go to the train station beforehand." The staff greeted us every time we returned from sightseeing and made us feel special. We would definitely recommend this hotel to people traveling to Rome. In fact, of the four hotels we stayed at during our trip to Italy, the Hotel dei Borgognoni was our favorite!
The location is great in the heart of the city with cafes everywhere
breakfast was ordinary for this calibre of hotel
- Quiet, nice room - Free Wi Fi in the lobby
- Breakfast choice a bit limited, but still of good quality
I liked everything about this hotel, but it should be noted that if you take a van from the airport, you must walk across a piazza and down the street, because the Via del Bufalo is too narrow for a van. The breakfast was good and had a good selection including scrambled eggs and ham, smoked salmon and cream cheese with little rolls or croissants. The bathroom was good and the internet, both paid in the room, or free in the lobby, worked fine. The staff was very friendly, spoke English well and the bed was extremely comfortable with extra pillows. The location was great, with a farmacia and grocery store on the same block so you do not have to get snacks and drinks from the room frig.
The blow dryer did not work well; it would have taken me hours to dry my hair instead of the usual 15 minutes, so I bought a blow dryer to use in the future in Europe with a European plug for 20 euros. That is not a problem of the hotel but rather a problem with travelling outside the us. I really liked the hotel.
